In Battle of the Birds, harpy-like women rise from Greek myth into the present-day theatre of womanhood — part bird, part woman, soaring through a dreamlike sky. Bare and unarmoured yet fiercely unapologetic, they echo the harpies of legend: feared and desired, their beauty edged with menace, their power deemed dangerous. Here, they become a living metaphor for the impossible balance women are expected to strike — soft yet strong, alluring yet contained, nurturing yet relentless.
